My favorite thing is combining my biology degree and my photography by using my photos to help people relate to scientific concepts. One example of this is below, where I combine photos and field sketches so hikers can identify spring ephemerals in Minnesota. Each one is accompanied by an informational card that gives information to help identify the plant and puts it in a cultural context to make it more memorable.
